In April 2007, 2thinknow released the first Innovation Cities™ Rankings in Boston, MA. The rankings are now named the Innovation Cities Index, and are currently in their 2009 version with 256 cities scored.

The analysis and methodology of ranking Innovation Cities in 2007; as well as the criteria & city innovation models are outlined in the Global Innovation Review 2007 Annual. Available in reprint, the book explains the selection criteria for 2007; and discusses each city ranking in some detail.
